For the very first time the FIVB will have a dedicated Volleyball House at an Olympic Games.
Located right on Copacabana Beach, the House will provide an engaging environment for guests including Olympic and FIVB family members, commercial partners, government ministers and officials and broadcasters/media to come together and enjoy the Olympic volleyball experience.
This is the very first time the FIVB has had a dedicated house at an Olympic Games and it will be used for meetings, hospitality and media events
The Volleyball House will be located at a school (Escola Municipal Dr. Cícero Penna) which has been renovated, leaving a sustainable legacy which will benefit current and future pupils and teachers of the school.
The renovation of the school included the painting, repairs to the air conditioning system, plumbing, electricity and other utilities which were funded by the FIVB.
