The Rio 2016 Olympic Games sees volleyball and beach volleyball return to a city which has a long-standing passion for the two disciplines.
The FIVB #VolleyballYourWay Rio Social Sport Legacy is a way to give back to a place that has provided the backdrop to countless events and been home to even more global stars of the sport.
The success of the programme relies on the close cooperation with local stakeholders to build on the National Federation’s strengths and capabilities.
Leaving a long-term legacy is at the core of the programme: to increase the number of volleyball players and generate a positive impact on local communities and society.
The FIVB will give local fans and the millions of visitors the chance to celebrate and experience volleyball prior, during and after the Games.
