Mexico takes on Netherlands in round of 16 action

 
Rio de Janeiro, August 12, 2016 - Pool C 2nd place, Mexico's Lombardo Ontiveros/Juan Virgen take on Reinder Nummerdor/Christiaan Varenhorst of the Netherlands, 2nd place pool E, in a round of 16 match that is their third meeting on the FIVB World Tour.  The Dutch have won both previous meetings. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals, and the loser will be eliminated with a 9th-place finish.
