Rio de Janeiro, August 9, 2016 – Italy’s Daniele Lupo and Paolo Nicolai recorded their first win at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games when they beat Tunisia’s Mohamed Naceur and Choaib Salah 2-0 (21-17, 21-13) at the Copacabana Beach Arena on Tuesday.

“We are more relaxed right now, but we know that now that every game for us is a final because we have to win every game to reach the end. We are focused on that and thinking about that.
“Our opponents were different and have less experience. Now we are focused on the next match (versus Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena, USA) and we have had problems with them in the past.
“We have won our first final, now we have a second so we tomorrow we will think about that.”
