Bruno expecting another tough test after winning start

Rio de Janeiro, August 6, 2016 – Brazil’s Alison Cerutti and Bruno Schmidt began their Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games campaign with a 2-0 (21-19, 22-20) victory over Canada’s Josh Binstock and Sam Schachter at the Copacabana Beach Arena on Saturday.

Here’s what they said after the match….

Bruno Schmidt, Brazil

“I'm also pretty happy the Canadians made this match very tough. It is very important for us to prepare mentally for the next match.

“The toughest for sure is going to be the next one (versus Clemens Doppler and Alexander Horst, Austria). This morning if you asked me this, I would've told you for sure this would have been our toughest, but for now our next one will be our toughest. That's our way to think about it.

“It's a dream come true for sure. Also, if you take a look in this amazing arena, I doubt it's going to repeat again. A big stage coming from nothing. This is remarkable.”
