Brazilian beach legends vs. German tour leaders in first women's semi-finals

 
Rio de Janeiro, August 16, 2016 -  The Brazilian Beach Legends, #1 seed, Talita Antunes/Larissa Franca will square off against the 2015-16 FIVB World Tour point leaders, Laura Ludwig/Kira Walkenhorst of Germany in the first semi-finals on day eleven in Rio.  The Germans have won three of the four meetings, including the only match in 2016, but the #1 seed has won three of four in the Olympic Games.  The winner will advance to the gold medal match, and the loser will play for the bronze medal.
