Beach volleyballers take in the volleyball spectacle

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 9, 2016 – Beach volleyball players Casey Patterson of the United States, and Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen of the Netherlands were among the many spectators that were enjoying the Rio 2016 Olympic Games men’s volleyball match of Italy and USA at Maracanazinho on Tuesday.

Patterson came to support his compatriots and was admiring the great energy at the volleyball competition.

“The match is awesome,” Patterson said. “I am enjoying the match, there’s so much great energy here at the venue. I am giving my support for Team USA.”

Patterson had some time off and took a peek at the volleyball competition even with a very busy schedule. On Wednesday, Patterson and his partner Jake Gibb will have a big match against Spaniards Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira in Pool F of the men’s volleyball competition at Copacabana.

“It’s been pretty great, we won our first match but we have a big match tomorrow,” Patterson said.

Brouwer and Meeuwsen also loved the atmosphere in volleyball.
