Fabiana started to play volleyball in 2000 for
Minas Tênis Clube. One year later, she won the silver medal in the Junior World
Championship and was elected the best blocker of the competition. In 2002 she
won the Superliga (Brazilian Championship) playing for MRV/Minas and at the
following year took the second place in the same competition. In 2003, she
played in Brazilian main team for the first time in the Montreux Volley Masters
and the Grand Prix (7
th place).
With the Youth Brazilian team, Fabiana won the gold medal in the World
Championship, in Thailand, where she was elected the best attacker of the
competition. In 2003, with the main Brazilian team, she won the silver medal in
the World Cup. In Superliga 2003/04, took the second place defending MRV/Minas.
In 2004 played in the Brazilian National Team that won the Grand Prix and was
fourth at the Olympic Games. In 2005, she was in the six competitions won by
the Brazilian national team: Courmayeur Championship, Montreux Volley Masters,
the fifth title of the Grand Prix, the Qualifying Tournament for the World Championship-2006,
the South American Championship and the World Grand Champions Cup. In 2006, she
conquered the Courmayeur Championship, the Montreux Volley Masters, the
Pan-American Cup and the sixth title of the Grand Prix, having won the best
spiker's prize. In the last competition of the year (World Championship), she
got the second place. In 2006, she was the captain of Rexona, the winner of
Superliga. In 2007, she was second place in the Pan-American Games, in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil, finished in the fifth place in World Grand Prix and won the
South American Championship. In the end of the year, Brazil was the runner-up
of the World Cup. In 2008, Fabiana was part of the team that got gold medals in
Beijing Olympic Games, the World Grand Prix and Final Four. In 2009, she won
the Montreux Volley Master being elected the MVP. She also won the Pan American
Cup, the Qualifying Tournament for the World Championship-2010 and the FIVB
Grand Prix winning the award of best blocker. In 2010, Fabiana collected two
silver medals at the World Grand Prix and the World Championship. The year of
2011 has been great for the middle blocker. Fabiana won the title of the Pan
American Cup and collected the silver medal in the World Grand Prix. At the
South American Championship, she helped the team to win the competition
unbeaten and was elected the best blocker. In the Pan-American Games, she
helped Brazil to win the third title in a row. In 2012, Fabiana had an amazing
year helping Brazil to won the gold medal in the London Olympic Games. In 2013,
Fabiana helped Brazil to win the World Grand Prix, the South American
Championship and the Grand Champions Cup where she was elected the MVP. In
2014, she leaded the Brazilian team to win the World Grand Prix in Tokyo,
Japan, for the 10th time and was elected the best middle blocker of
the tournament. In 2015, she helped Brazil to win the South American
Championship in Cartagena, Colombia.
