Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 8, 2016 - Brazil retain an absolutely perfect record in women's volleyball at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, after totally overwhelming arch rivals Argentina 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-11) before a passionate sellout crowd at the Maracanazinho.
It was the second straight-set win in as many matches for Brazil, who join Russia as the only two undefeated teams in Pool A. Argentina, who are making their Olympic debut, remain winless.
Brazil setter Dani Lins celebrates win over Argentina. The game's top scorer Sheilla Castro, on 14 points, led Brazil who completely dominated play all around.
Towards the end of the match Brazil coach Ze Roberto gave time on court to all his players except for Thaisa who is recovering from injury.
Tanya Acosta and captain Yamila Nizetich, who scored 9 points each, kept Argentina as much in the game as possible, but the challenge was just too much.
