Russia remained undefeated in Pool A with a 3-0 record after the victory over Cameroon

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 19, 2016 – Russia defeated winless Cameroon 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-23) to stay undefeated with 3-0 record in Pool A of the women’s volleyball tournament at Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

A Russian eventual pass to the quarterfinals remained pending on the result of the match Korea-Argentina. A loss of the South American side would grant the ticket to the Russians.

Surprisingly, Cameroon outblocked Russia 9-7, with the winners leading in spikes 49-35.
