After facing Argentina, Cuba will then have to face world champions Poland. Argentina’s first match was a tough 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-18) win over Iran but they showed their determination to do well in Rio with a stunning 3-1 victory over Russia on August 9. They may have lost 3-0 to Poland but again they showed their fighting spirit by stretching the final set to 37-35. Argentina’s final match will be against Egypt. Cuba have won seven of their last 10 clashes with Argentina in FIVB competitions. The two teams met four times in 2015 with each taking home two victories. Argentina’s Facundo Conte is the third-highest scorer in the competition, the eighth-best server and seventh-best blocker. Print this Page News {{item.LocalShortDate}} {{item.Title}} All the News
