Kolosinska and Brzostek roll on to second victory

Rio de Janeiro, August 9, 2016 – Poland’s Kinga Kolosinska and Monika Brzostek recorded their second win at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games when they beat Russia’s Ekaterina Ukolova and Evgenia Birlova 2-0 (21-19, 21-18) at the Copacabana Beach Arena on Tuesday.

Here’s what they said after the match…

Kinga Kolosinska, Poland
“It was our second victory against them - out of 10 that we played.

“Right now we are really, really happy because we are going to play (the next match) for the first (place) in the pool.”

Monika Brzostek, Poland
“Our coach prepared us. We have played them many times and we have studied them, so we knew how they would play."

“We played them in Klagenfurt last week (in the world tour) and we beat them, so this means a lot to us and it's great.

“We changed our mental approach towards them. They are not heroes they are just players like us.”
